My life has been lived inside some big questions...
- what is success?
- how to achieve it?
- how can life be meaningful?
- what's the source of joy?
- how can I leave the world a better place?
Do you recognize any of these?
Answering these questions has led me through 6 careers, homes on 3 continents and taught me a deal about life, myself and what it is to be human. The resulting experience and wisdom is what informs my coaching with men navigating their own life journeys.
My experience includes;
- the transition from corporate employee to entrepreneur, international consultant and author
- a second book, Your Planet Needs You, which prompted me to leave the UK for the USA
- leading a global community of change-makers committed to environmental sustainability, social justice and spiritual fulfillment
- founding a social venture in Ecuador, and coping with its failure
- rehabilitating the poet and the artist in me that my school days had shut down
As a man I've learned how deeply my conditioning skews my ability to see and to choose wisely. As a human being I'm learning how fabulous, fallible and frankly strange we all are (yes, you and me both).
Now, as a thought leader and speaker, I am holding space for men's transformation, and simultaneously supporting the women’s empowerment work that my wife, Sand Symes, brings into the world.

What if . . .
Life is a miracle in a cosmos that’s a mystery, where this short span we have been gifted bestows on us each a priceless opportunity and undeniable right to laugh, love and sing our song.
A dream has settled over the human family, separating us from mother Earth, blinding us to who we really are, defying us to play small in competition and exploitation.
We can choose a new dream in which we play big, sing loud, heal and love courageously; in which we see the world as a stage on which to explore the furthest reaches of what it is to be human.
We have the all of the power, creativity and agency we need;
- to raise the common good over self-interest
- to ensure dignity and justice for all
- to find peace within and without
- to honor and elevate the feminine
- to heal the Earth.
